11 Steps to Your New Home

1. Visit our Model Home and meet with our Sales Manager. She will help you select a neighborhood, lot and floor plan to meet your every need. You can choose from an existing floor plan and customize it to fit your lifestyle or if you have your own plan, your already one step ahead.

2. Although we have preferred lending partners we can refer you to, you are not required to use any specific lender. We recommend the use of our preferred lender to provide one stop shopping, eliminating the need to shop all over town to find the best rates on a home loan. We are confident that our preferred lender will not only offer you a competitive rate, but will also provide you with wonderful customer service and make the financing of your new home as hassle free as possible.

3. Once you are pre-approved for your new home, you will meet with our Sales Manager and go over all the details of your floor plan. This is our opportunity to share with you all the wonderful included amenities that most builders sell at a premium. As well as going over the many customization opportunities available to you. We will insure that your home plans include all the amenities to fit your lifestyle and budget.

4. We will then price your plans and give you a firm price on what it will take to build the home to your specifications. At that point you will execute either a “Fixed Price” or “Cost-Plus” contract with us to build your new home.

5. Another option would be, if you own your own land/lot already and need a quality builder to build your new home, we can execute a “Purchaser Owned Custom Fixed Price” or “Purchaser Owned Cost Plus” contract.

6. Now is when the fun really begins. You will begin to meet with our vendors who will guide your through the many amazing selections you will have to personalize your new home and make it as unique as you are.

7. In the meantime, we will be obtaining all the necessary building permits, arrange for temporary power, order the water meter and get the home site ready for construction. Once the site is ready we can begin construction.

8. On average our homes take between 3-5 months to build. One of the most important benefits of purchasing a home from Aspen Builders is that the construction of your home will be supervised by Mason McMurray, the builder himself, to ensure that your home will be built to the highest standards.

9. Once your home is completed, we will do a new home orientation, guiding you through a room-by-room tour and demonstrate how to operate various components of the home, as well as review important warranty information. We will also discuss any items that need correcting prior to close. You’ll also receive material with tips on caring for and maintaining your home.

10. The big day has arrived! It’s time to close at the tile company and receive the keys to your dream home. Your relationship with Aspen Builders however, is far from over.

11. Your Aspen Builders home comes with a one-year warranty. We ask that after a week in your new home, you submit to us any items that you believe may require attention or that you may require assistance with. We always welcome your phone calls and emails and want to hear any questions that you may have about your new Aspen Builders home.

As part of our commitment to service, we offer an eleven month follow-up to be sure that any items warranted on your home that require attention are repaired to the highest of standards. Every step of the way, we want you to be happy with your new home and satisfied with your decision to invest in an Aspen Builders home.
